7 Days in Kvarner, Croatia

What Kind Of Traveller Are You?

To answer my own question I would have to say I am an organised traveller; I like to try new things, see amazing sites and history but I would have to have my partner in crime to experience this world with me. When I am travelling I love to video my experience and post them onto Youtube and also post photographs onto instagram to share with family and friends.

Couple Takes On Kvarner

Trying to plan a 7 day vacation somewhere can be difficult and stressful for some people, but for me I love the planning part of a vacation. Planning gets me excited knowing what I am going to see, what I am going to do and how much fun I am going to have.

For a couple in Kvarner there is so much to do;
  • 7 plus destinations in the region to discover
  • Nightlife to dance or eat the night away
  • Beaches to relax on
  • History to gaze upon
Kvarner for Two

One destination that simply looks picture perfect is the island of Cres; the untouched jewel of the Kvarner Region. Visit the ancient villages of Lubenice and Valun to take in the culture and relax on their beautiful beaches, while eating some local food from the nearby fishing village.

The nightlife in Kvarner doesn’t live up to island Hvar but Krk Island as a number of bars along the harbour. Most bars close around 1am but if you want to continue on there is a few clubs on Krk especially in summer opening at 9pm and closing at 5am. You will be able to dance the night away to mainstream pop and disco hits from guest DJs from around Europe.

The Krk Island has everything you want in a vacation offering 20 things to do. I do not know how I would fit the whole of Kvarner Region into a 7 day vacation if Krk alone has a list of 20 things to do.

Let’s start with day 1, a day of exploring the beaches that Krk offers in Baska. Baska is a place of beautiful to kick start a vacation where a resort and holiday industry was created around it is a God blessed getaway.

Day 2; discover where the Croatian are from. Staying close to Baska just a little north, the village of Jurandvor where you will find history dating back to 1851. In the church of Lucy a slab was founded by Petar Dorcic with the earliest mention of ‘Croatia’ and ‘Croatian’.

Day 3 I will be discovering the magnificent cave of Biserujka with stalactites and stalagmites filling the 42.5 foot cave. This will be a short trip as the educational trial will go for around thirty minutes. The rest of the day will be spent learning how to sail in Punat off Krks eastern coast.

Day 4 and 5 is all about food and nightlife moving onto Rijeka located in the Kvarner Bay and is the third biggest city in Croatia. Great restaurants and year around nightlife where I can enjoy dining, drinking and dancing with the locals. Whether I feel like Mediterranean formal dining at the Municipium or learning about craft beer at the King’s Caffe. Rijeka has something for everyone.

Day 6 and 7 will be relaxing and preparing to head home. There is no better place than Losinj as in 1892 it earned an official designation as a health resort. This is because of its sea breeze, crystal clear water and 2600 hours of annual sunshine.

Everyday I will crea a video blog and edit the 7 days together to create a fifteen minute video of my favourite parts. I will also be posting photographs of my adventures onto Instagram. This will be more for me to remember the fun I had.

Kvarner, Croatia Travel Guide

Thinking of Traveling to the Region of Kvarner? Social media marketing like blogs, articles online and social media networkers have shaped the way we do research for our future vacations. After reviewing all different blogs and articles about the region of Kvarner I would like to do more research on the area and travel there in the future. This shows that the marketing of Kvarner is working to get people interested and attracting more tourists to the area.  While reviewing the different articles and blogs I came across two different types of layouts; one being the more typical type of blog styles and one being more fact based.   Photo: http://www.traveller.com.au/island-hopping-cycle-trip-in-kvarner-bay-croatia-go7dxg “Chasing the Donkey’s” “Kvarner Region: Katarina Line Croatia Cruise” it was a typical travel blog layout with photographs and videos of their personal travel experience of the Kvarner Region.  The perfect blog for a ...
